The History Of Kath’s Bags

A little history of this bag is very close to my heart.

My mother-in-law, who is an amazing and strong woman, her husband for 60+ years, has the very unforgiving dementia, and all the issues that come with it, now bedridden and almost non-verbal.

With that said, Kath (who the bag is named after), still keeps a tidy home, lovely garden (which is huge) and still looks after her husband, Robin.  With this in mind, I designed a bag to wear around the house, outside or wherever she is, and she can carry a mobile, landline phone, monitor, so if she is out of sight, she can still see him, and still have some normality and get on with what Kath needs to do on a daily basis.

I have now decided to take this a step further, and would like everyone who is in a similar position and could make their life just that little bit easier.  This bag could also be useful for those who may have early signs of dementia and to have things with them that may jog their memory.

For every bag that is sold. 10% will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Society.  Every month, I will post a running total of how much has been donated.
